Should I switch to the new “freon” R410A “Puron”? PDF Print E-mail
If you plan on replacing your system, then yes.  R-22 or “freon” production is slowly being phased out at a rate of 20% a year beginning next year and the cost will rise drastically, also most manufacturers are eliminating stock on R-22 units and will only be selling the R410A units in the next few years.
